Lake Oanob near Rehoboth to Gondwana Kalahari Farmhouse near Stampriet in Namibai

We got ourselves back on the B1 south and turned left on the C20 towards Stampriet.  On the way we stopped for a while at the Gondwana Kalahari Anib Lodge just to see and report on the place.  We were too early to stay over, but we also saw that these people do not really care about campers.

Their camping site does not have trees and in the very hot Namibia, that is a big no-no for camping in the summer months.  Maybe the winter will be better.

We carried on towards Stampriet and the Kalahari Guesthouse.  In Stampriet we first  filled the bakkies with fuel and then drove the little distance to the Kalahari Guesthouse where we were given a warm welcome and we thanked them for their friendliness by having lunch in their restaurant.

After that, we went to the camping sites, where we were the only campers until late in the afternoon when a South African family pitched up and a bit later another couple from Germany in a camper van.

In the end, the experience was quite good, because of their friendliness, their clean and nice ablutions and their massive, shady palm trees that supplied us with very welcome shade when we needed that in the Namibian heat.
