From Riva Lodge near Upingon to Kleinplasie near Calvinia

After staying for quite some time at Riva Lodge to have the two vehicles serviced and new tyres fitted, we moved on to Kenhardt and then on to Calvinia.  The road through the Karoo can be long and very straight at times offering the opportunity to appreciate the loneliness and wide expanses of the Karoo.A few kilometers before reaching Calvinia, you turn off to Kleinplasie, which means Small Farm.  It is a very neat, delightful place where you can camp or stay in the rooms on offer at a very competitive price.
The friendly owner also offers a little restaurant in the garden.  A very pleasant place to overnight or o stay over if one needs to be near a town and shops for a while.
